PROevents is owned and operated by Jo Finlay who has over 10 years experience in planning and running successful events in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Jo Finlay is passionate about events and bringing a variety of different experiences to the region. Coming from a radio background, Jo specialises in sponsorship, marketing, and prides herself in a very high delivery of customer service.  She is passionate about creating high quality events and bringing a variety of different experiences to the region. 



After 2 years of work towards the qualification, Jo has been awarded the designation of CFEE; Certified Festival and Events Executive.  

The CFEE Course Components involved six core curriculum modules including Marketing/Media Relations,    Operations/Risk Management, Non-Sponsorship Revenue Programs, Sponsorship,  Administration/Management and Project Management. On top of this,she completed electives, case studies and submitted an article to an international events publication. She also completed a formal speaking presentation to a Youth Development programme in March, organised to support and encourage the future leaders of our district. The presentation was focused around the skills required to be able to hold an event for their local communities. 

The CFEE programme and certification is administered by the International Federation of Events Association (IFEA) Academy of Event Education and is considered the global benchmark for event professionals worldwide.
Jo says "I am delighted to have this certification under my belt; it adds true credibility to the event management industry. Today event construction and delivery has evolved into a highly complex profession, so being armed with these skills and tools means being able to operate at much higher level."
